HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Mt. Airy, MD (100% Onsite)

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our client's growing team in Mt. Airy, MD. This is a fully in-office role responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process while supporting key human resources functions. Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Utilize job boards, social media, networking, and other sourcing tools to attract qualified candidates
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Maintain and track recruitment metrics and pipeline activity

Human Resources

  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy
  • Assist with employee relations, policies, and compliance matters
  • Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in HR and/or talent acquisition
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices and HR fundamentals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting a fast-paced or growing organization
  • Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
